CHICKEN!

Chicken, a.k.a. "YardBird" at our house, is a staple at our dinner table, but not at my friend Mary Louise Nechtman's... She has little biddies roaming the yard! Mary Louise & John built a first-rate chicken condo in their backyard about a year ago and have been enjoying thier funny little pets ever since.


Isn't he/she handsome! It takes a little time to determine the sex of the chicken.



This one was ready for the photo shoot!

Here's another benefit to raising chickens...ML's first egg! Hmmm. will she boil, poach, or fry it? Will keep you posted on the chickens...

Oh! look at my beautiful chicks!
The new babies came today-- just a day old! will send you new baby pics. It seems we have 3 layers with 3 seperate nests in the coop. Waiting to see if the other 2 are roosters or 1 more hen. I will keep you posted! MLG...N
